If you’re looking for something different for dinner, try Ton’s Mongolian Grill. It’s all-you-can-eat, very affordable and delicious! 

If you’ve never eaten at a Mongolian grill, here’s how it works. The uncooked meats, veggies, noodles and sauces are laid out buffet-style. You fill a bowl (or 2 or 3) with the ingredients of your choice and take them to the round grill where 3 hardworking gentlemen cook them up to perfection. At the grill you can ask them to add rice, egg, sesame seeds or hot red peppers to your creation. You know exactly what is going into your meal and watch it being prepared. No mystery here!

I am not a big fan of Chinese food in general. There are lots of ingredients that I am not real fond of . *cough* bean sprouts *cough*  At Ton’s, I can go down the line and add just what I want. I usually go vegetarian with carrots, green peppers, zucchini, onions and noodles. Sometimes I’ll throw in a little shrimp. I love to add a little spice with the hot oil. Phone Guy, on the other hand, usually eats his fajita style with beef, jalapenos and onions only. They’ll even bring you warm tortillas if you go that way! My 8 year old, Danger Boy, likes the smoked sausage with pineapple. In addition to the buffet choices, they also offer hot and sour or egg drop soup and white rice. If you prefer fried rice, just ask when you’re at the grill and they’ll throw some on for you.

Ton’s has the nicest servers I have run into in quite a while. Your drink will never be empty and, if you visit often enough, they’ll know your drink order before you even ask.

After your meal, you are treated with the creamiest, sweetest ice cream on the planet, and fortune cookies of course.  Dinner is around $9.00 for an adult and it’s all-you-can-eat, so well worth it. Some nights they offer a special of 2 dinners for $13.99. I always make sure to tip the wait staff and the cooks as I leave because they all do such a great job.
