Notable News for Friday, August 24
Arlington police are now investigating the woman’s body found in Lake Arlington this weekend as a homicide. A press release issued yesterday said that the autopsy showed obvious signs of trauma and it was clear that she did not die of natural causes. They did not give specifics about her wounds. The body is believed to be a white or Hispanic woman about 16 to 21 years old, about 5 feet, 2 inches to 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a medium to heavy build and medium-length brown hair. She was wearing gray sweatpants and yellow underwear with a graphic image of a chicken that reads “Chicks Rule.” She was also wearing a black string necklace with a black crucifix as pictured here. The medical examiner said she had an overbite with two protruding upper front teeth. Anyone with information is asked to call Arlington Detective Jim Ford at (817) 459-5325 or Safe City Commission Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-TIPS or www.469tips.com. All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
