Notable News for Friday, July 27
Officials from both Baylor and Notre Dame confirmed yesterday that their long-discussed game will be played at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington on Oct. 6, 2012. They had also been in talks with the Cotton Bowl. It’s a one-year contract and the Fighting Irish will be the home team.
An Arlington man was arrested in Cleburne for assaulting a man who was trying to feed some starving horses. Chad Michael Greenslade followed the man back to his place of business and assaulted him. The horses belong to a relative of Greenslade’s who had been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after authorities found 2 dead and 3 starving horses on his property.
Kimberly Al-Homsi, who earlier this month was involved in a standoff with police, was arrested again yesterday on another charge of possession of a prohibited weapon. Her bail was set at $100,000.
