Police were called to a domestic dispute on Wembley Road yesterday.  After a six hour standoff, and use of stun gun, they took a woman into custody.  The domestic disturbance started with an assault involving a knife.  During the standoff police were fired on with a paintball gun.

I told you about the Castle Pines apartment complex on Friday.  They were given 24 hours to bring dozens of violations up to code.  They have corrected the most serious violations found by city code inspectors. They have 30 days to correct the rest of the violations.

Residents of Lowe’s Farm in Mansfield are fighting to keep Woodcrest Lane from being connected up with Highway 360.  The sight traffic congestion and safety as the reasons for their opposition. 

Christal’s Lingerie and Adult Novelty Store has reached an agreement with the city of Kennedale to close by 2012.  The store has been fighting a battle with the city for years.  The city would like to ”clean up” that cluster of adult businesses at I-20 & 287.  The agreement allows Christal’s to  display videos, magazines and other adult materials on 18 percent of its floor area until then.

Former Arlington detective, Tommy Le Noir will host a new Spike TV show, Murder. In the spirit of CSI, Murder will be about solving a crime.  Each episode begins with Detective Le Noir escorting two groups of civilians into a very detailed, exact replica crime scene pulled from the files of a solved homicide case. The participants are given 48 hours to complete their investigation, collect and catalogue their evidence and solve the murder. Each week, the group that made the correct or most compelling, case will have a donation made in their names to a selected victim’s charity. Murder premieres July 31.
