Fireworks Abound this Independence Day

815054_35366069_1.jpgAs I mentioned yesterday, you can catch fireworks at the Lake tonight during the “Light Up the Lake” celebration.  Tomorrow night they’ll be lighting up the Ballpark in Arlington following the Rangers game against the Angels.  You can go to the game or just park near the stadium and enjoy the show.  We usually grab a spot in the southeast corner of the Six Flags Mall parking lot and have a great view.  The game starts at 7:35 so fireworks will probably begin sometime around 10:00, but you better find a spot to park well before then.  Tickets for the game start at $3 for kids and $6 for adults.

Independence Day Celebration at LaGrave Field

July 3-4, following the Fort Worth Cats games.  The biggest fireworks shows in Fort Worth.  Rally Towels for the first 1,500 fans on July 4th.  Also, on the 3rd and 4th, there will be a Troop Supply Drive. Each fan bringing an item to donate will receive a free gift from the Cats and our troops overseas. Supplies needed include eye drops, lipbalm/chapstick, medicine such as Tylenol, Asprin, and Advil, calling cards, candy bars, disposable razors, travel size shaving cream and toothpaste, toothbrushes and children’s books.  Tickets start at $4.

Star Spangled 4th

July 3 and 4 in Historic downtown Garland.  Carnival, art, car and motorcycle show, parade, and fireworks. Free admission.

Addison Kaboom Town

July 3, 4:30pm-midnight at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Drive in Addison.  Fireworks, food, music, rock climbing wall, giant slide, and warplane fly-bys.  Free admission.

Lone Stars and Stripes Fireworks Celebration

July 3 and 4, 3pm-11pm at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. Pony rides, bounce houses, SpongeBob SquarePants and more.  Fireworks will follow the last race (at approx 10:15 pm).  $3 general admission tickets.

City of Bedford 4thFest

July 4 from 10am-11pm at 2801 Forest Ridge Drive in Bedford. Carnival, street performers, concert, parade, and fireworks. Free admission.

Red, White, and Lewisville

July 4, 6pm-11pm at Vista Ridge Mall, 2401 I-35 in Lewisville. Entertainment in the mall during the day, outside the mall in the evening, and fireworks after dark. Free admission.

Quad Cities Family 4th

July 4, 9:30pm at the North Richland Hills Village Center, 6351 Boulevard 26 in Richland Hills. At the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 183 inside Loop 820.  Free admission.

Patriotic Concert and Fireworks Celebration

July 4, 5pm-10pm at Williams Square Plaza located at 5215 North O’Connor Boulevard in Las Colinas. The Irving Symphony Orchestra will put on a concert starting at 8:30pm. Food and beverages will be available. No coolers or alcohol permitted.   Free admission.
